Radio Noord is looking for a new jingle package

The new jingles package must be made with real instruments whenever possible. It will form the segue between news items and music from the past and the present. It will make Radio Noord stand out among its competitors and reinforce the station’s position as an indispensable and reliable news source and it consists of elements and themes that can be combined in various ways.

The (definitive) jingles may either be composed from scratch or contain (some) existing material. What matters to us is the quality and the coherence of the tracks.

Our current set of jingles comes from the USA and was created for radio station WNIC. The Radio Noord version has been in use since the late 90s. WNIC has gone out of business a few years ago and consequently our steady supply of fresh jingles has dried up.

Apart from this unfortunate turn of events, our own programming is in need of a fresh, custom-made sound design. We invite composers, sound designers and production companies to develop our new ‘signature sound’.

If you aspire to be the creator of our new jingle package, please read the attached brief. Demos for the project can be submitted until May 20, 2012. We would prefer to know in advance if you want to take part in the pitch for this project.
